Andrew just emailed this picture from work (note the reflection from inside the bank).  It snowed all day and night yesterday, and it’s still snowing!  I can’t complain because I have the day off AGAIN!   Good thing, because I didn’t grade OR bake yesterday.  I was a complete lazy bum.  (I did play  and walk outside with Charley, shoveled the walkways for the first time in my life, made Chicken ‘n Dumplings and tried my hand at Twice-Baked Potatoes for the first time!) ….But I didn’t do the “not-so-fun” stuff…aka grading tons of papers.

Time to light a fire under my booty!

The good thing is that it’s not “too cold” outside…I have an incredibly warm Patagonia coat that I bought last year and barely used due to the mild winter.  This is their new version of the coat…but mine’s a little different since I bought it last fall…

I have a feeling that I’m going to get a TON of use out of the coat this year!   It’s not the most stylish coat, but it’s insanely warm and comfortable…and a classic style that should last forever.

What would you do if you had the day off today?  I always have high hopes, and then end up vegging around.  I have a few ideas for today…

• Grade first so I can feel FREE!
• Walk Charley in the snow – he LOVES it…and then gets a warm shower after in order to defrost his body
• Read: Finish the last Twilight book, then continue 19 minutes by Jodi Picoult
• Do a home work-out? (wishful thinking?!)
• Never-ending chores…laundry, unload dishes, etc.
• Walk to Whole Foods for groceries (if weather’s not too bad)

Anyone have a good Black Bean Burger recipe they’d like to share??
